Steering Rack

I recently had my steering rack replaced and now I'm hearing a noise when steering on cold days, below 40 degrees. The noise will fade as I continue to drive. Any info would be great.

Check your PS fluid level...also check the pulleys and everything. Depending on how long it was, take it back to the mechanic who fixed it and have them deal with it

What does the noise sound like? If you could go into a little more detail, you'd be much more likely to get some helpful answers. If it's like a whining type of noise, check the power steering fluid as advised by amerikaner83. If it's low, add some ATF.

Fluid is fine. The noise is like a cracking popping sound. All steering functions appear to be fine, just the noise initially on cold days.

It might be the strut bearing or bad inner tie rod.
