new here and in need of some help

i have an 04 maxima that i just did intake and valve cover gaskets on after coming back from a good running test drive it popped some codes for throttle position sensor and throttle position switch. and it will not rev above 2000 rpms. now my understanding is that this is the fallsafe mode. i did some research and tried to turn off the failsafe mode but the check engine light will not blink. any clues thanks in advance.

Safe mode? Could be the MAF sensor. Maybe if you post your troubled codes you'll get more than guesses

Can't you just erase the codes?Mine did the same when I cleaned my "then" K&N filter. Forgot to plug in the MAF...I DID plug it in later on AFTER the problem occurred but it wasn't going above 2000rpm.Called my buddy, once he closed his shop he brought me the obd2 computer, erased the codes and car started running like new again
