Help needed please 06 fan with start up, when car engine is started

Help needed please 06 fan with start up, when car engine is started
My 06 fan won't start when the engine is started except I put on my cars AC

Does the fan kick on after 15 to 20 minutes of run time or is *ONLY turning on when you use your AC?

it only turns on when i use the AC
