i recently had an issue, my CVT transmission kinda like got stuck in a gear. the road was sorta wet, and i took off slightly fast. i didn't try to peel out or anything like that. well it stayed in that gear for like 30 secs, didn't wanna change over, i switched from auto to manual and still no change. then it changed like nothing. should i be worried?

2008 Max. 43,100 miles, everything stock except K&N engine filter.

 

Mine does that when getting on it hard, a wet spinout would definitely qualify. It felt like it failed to transition, RPMs where near redline and no sign of an "upshift". Letting off completely then light pedal afterwards would settle it down, but staying on it i was sure it wouldn't shift. No idea what causes it, car runs fine in every other aspect.
