First time customizing Car

What is up guys, I just want to start out by giving a little background; I am 16 years old and recently attained an 06' SL Maxima (5-speed Automatic). My family has little experience with working on or modifying cars other then simple maintenance and I would like to modify my car in a practical, drive-able way while still having something special.

As of now I am working and I plan on upgrading through out the next couple of years and not all at once, so money is not the biggest priority, but of course being a student I would prefer not to go to crazy.

Here are the thing's that I am looking to upgrade:

Performance

- Exhaust: I would like something that has an agressive note without being to loud?

-I would like to get the car lowered just a tad bit if at all possible, but this isn't a necessity

Aesthetics

-Just wondering if getting my car vinyl wrapped will effect my insurance rates? and also if anyone know's how much it will cost/ where to get a car wrapped in the Houston/Dallas area.

-Wheels and tires; I would like to go with something nice and simple but classy, and don't know where to start. Also something practical that can be driven on a daily bases.

-Headlights and Tail lights; I want something simple and clean but has an aggressive look

-Grills If anyone has a nice place to buy a black mesh grill that would be nice

Lastly this is a question for personal opinion; concepts for the car, I want to keep it simple and classy, while also looking mean So Any combo of black and white? Window tint?

I know I'm asking for a lot but I honestly have no clue where to start, so thanks for all help guys!

I’m going to tell you just like I wish someone had told me years ago…it’s your first car, don’t put so much money into it that you are forced to drive it past it’s time. Couple things here and there, whatever, but the best advice you can take: save your money for when something important breaks so you can get that fixed. I hate to see young guys going down the roadwith $4000 of aesthetic bling, and they can’t get their AC fixed because they’re broke!

And there's no such thing as being classy and mean at the same time, pick one and stick with it. You got all kinds of exhaust setups, headers or gutted cats, intake, nwp spacers, timing advance, VIAS BOP, just some of the bolt on stuff you can do. Anything that adds real performance will be loud, so don't expect classy lol

Don't bother performance modding... Save up for a RWD car and use the maxima as a beater

To the OP - it's a 5 speed auto? Set aside 3 grand, VERY SOON for when the trans takes a shiit on you. You'll thank me later.

Thanks guys, also the transmission was replaced about 8 months ago so I don't think i should worry about it to much.

What I was referring to as classy but mean, was A full bodied sound; nothing just obnoxious and loud, but something that sounds powerful and thick? If you understand what I mean haha, but thanks for the input.
