Just curious if anyone has ran out of gas in the maxima. How long or about how far can you go when the orange light comes on?

When I fill up with the orange light on it only puts about 15-16 gallons in. When we have a 20 gallon tank

I remember reading the manufacturers don't want us to run outta gas and on a motorcycle it's about a gallon and 1/2....

Basically, many times I have ran it down to the light coming on and when I have gassed up it's always 16 gallons give or take.

The most I have ever put in is 17 gallons. Mfgs like to leave a few gallons in the tank after the needle hits E because your fuel pump is inside your tank and is kept cool by the gasoline.
