No advice about what to get, but I'm with you on the concept of if it aint broke. Certain things are worth the money, trans fluid replacement, spark plugs, brakes, tires, these are things you gotta do regularly...however if the struts are fine, and you're not looking to lower or race the thing, then save your money.

replace those, they are overdue.
looks to me like you didnt read the 200 threads about shocks right?

kyb gr2 are fine, and stiffer than OEM.
monroe sensatracs are fine, thats what I run now. like oem.

KYB is crap. Get Monroe sensatrac. Nice ride and good quality.

While is apart change the rubber bushings for the rear shock too.
If you got extra $$ replace the rear sway bar with a progressive bar/bushings.
That's what I did,and replaced the springs. Handles much better on turns.
