Vaccum help

Hey guys just bought an 04 nissan maxima SL and my idle is pretty high at around 1000 rpm. When it starts cold its around 1500 then works down to 1000. This is pretty high from any other car i have ever owned so im thinking this is not normal. Im thinking i might have a vaccum leak and i noticed that a hose on my drivers side is exposed. If any of you guys know what it is or where it is suppose to attach I appreciate it! i tried looking around and did not come up with anything. Thanks for the help!

It looks like the hose is grouped together with 2 or 3 other thicker hoses.

The line you pointed out looks to be the transmission vent line which would explain why you cant find where it attatches. If thats the case that is normal. As for your idle it doesn't overly high for a cold start but try checking for any cracked vacume hoses.
