p0507 and p1283 on a 04 maxima caused by MAF!?!?!
OK, I have a p0507 and p1283 code on my 04 maxima. Replaced the O2 sensor 1 bank 2 and cleaned the throttle body with intake throttle body cleaner plus the maf with maf sensor cleaner. Still getting the higher idle than expected code p0507 and p1283 for oxygen sensor. Finally decided to visit a Nissan dealership and let them tell me what is going on with the car. The dealership tells me that I need an air sensor assembly (in my mind, wtf is that and it sounds expensive.) Went to Advance Auto and found out the air sensor assembly is the mass air flow sensor and housing. Therefore, I'm searching the net for a new or decent unit. Can I just replace the MAF sensor and not the whole unit?
Keep you updated. Hopefully this help someone out who are getting the same obd codes.

Still haven't fixed it yet!
Dealership fixed the p0507 code.
Now still just this p1283 keep coming back!!!! (p1283-o2 sensor, changed sensor already) but dealership diagnosed and said the air sensor assembly needs to be replaced.
Changed MAF Sensor, cleared code = Check engine light comes back on (same p1283)
Changed MAF and Housing, cleared code= Check engine light comes back on (same p1283)
Changed Inlet ( black piece between the throttle body and the MAF housing unit), cleared code= Check engine light comes back on (same p1283).
What should I do next? Anybody!!! HELP!!!!
