2007 Maxima 3.5SE Air Conditioning/Noise at Startup

Hello all,
I am new to the Maxima forums as I have just joined the Maxima family on Saturday. I just bought a 2007 Maxima 3.5SE with 186,000 miles on it and I just realized today that the A/C does not work at all. Only hot air comes out. I think there may be a compressor issue since there is no rev change or noise when you press the A/C button. I am taking it in to the shop this weekend, but thought you guys may have some input for my issue. Also, I saw on another forum that A/C issues could cause a noise at startup if the clutch/compressor is bad? My Max makes a weird noise at startup, almost a flapping, belt noise?

Thanks for any input, it is much appreciated.

One other side note, I have been googling fervently for a solution to the TPMS light staying on? The TPMS light stays on all the time, doesn't blink or anything, all tires are at the appropriate pressures.

Thanks again!

I have recharged my AC myself, bought synthetic freon with sealer at Walmart 2 years ago and it's been good since. It's comes with a braded line and a gauge.
My TPMS light has been on for a year, after years the sensor batteries go bad.
