Rant: Racingline Performance

**** them.

I ordered MMI for my 04 on 4/14/15. This was after trying to order through Paypal (which said it went through but never did). I tried to order with paypal like 2 weeks before this. Their website is more flawed than a call of duty game.

Took 2 days to get a confirmation and said they will shipping the parts soon. They had my money on 4/16/15 as the order was processed and confirmed.

After 2 weeks of not hearing anything from them, I tried to use their website (again huge mistake) to check the process of my order. Couldn't log on to check.
Well, I sent them a message every couple days, they finally got back to me on 5/08/15 saying "sorry for the delay, your order will be leaving on monday." Monday would have been 5/11/15.
Emailed them again on 5/26/15. Over 2 weeks after they said they would ship my mounts.
Magically after this email, they gave me tracking on 5/26/15. It is a UPS number, 1Z0556WF6898871523
Says it will be here today, 6/3/15. I will check after work.
This is only 7 weeks after I ordered the part.

**** this company.

**** em!!!!! They have the worst customer service in the world! I ordered a high flow cat from them on 5/24/15, then didn't even receive an order confirmation until 5/28/15 saying that the order would ship soon. I haven't heard back from them since then. Not only that, I had questions about the product before I ordered it, and they didn't reply to any of them! Since they haven't shipped it yet, I wonder if I'd be able to go ahead and cancel the order.... That sucks that you've been waiting 7 weeks though man!

i wouldn't have been as pissed off if the dude
1) Would have been more vocal and told me it was going to be a while.
2) Didn't lie to me about when he was going to ship it out.

They finally came in last night, hopefully I have time to install them this weekend.

This sounds like an operation that doesn't stock anything. When you order it, that's when they order it from their supplier. It is a very profitable operation for them as they don't need a warehouse to store things and not a single penny ever comes out of their pocket.

This would be nice to know before ordering.

I have a buddy that runs his business like this. It is a custom fab shop for atv and sxs parts. He sometimes have stock, but normally it is 2 week lead time on all orders as he has to have the stuff made.

I got the MMI finally. It will not go into my motor mount. Now, I am not 100% I have the correct mount or what. Also, the MMI got a tear in it.

is that an electric/hydraulic motor mount? It looks like one but i don't see the wires.

What you are calling a tear looks like a surface crack to me. It depends on how deep it goes. If it is a surface crack, that is not an issue.

Here's a picture of a crack:

It should be a none electric mount, that is what I have.
It is more than a surface crack, it is about 1/8" deep, which is deep on this thin of material.

It's a nice idea but not even close. RL is a one man show for the most part and all parts are built in batches ranging from 20-100 units (both in house made items and outsourced ones). Sometimes items are out of stock and require time to build. Being a one man show sometimes that time frame is longer than adequate

The pic of the new mount looks as though it is NOT an OEM mount as the profile is slightly different. The MMI should still work but you'll have to trim the sides a bit.

Sounds about right. It wouldn't be so bad if he would put on his site the long lead time or keep in touch. I would never buy from Racingline again. My MMI needed to be modded to even work.
