ABS Sensor issues....

The dreaded design flaw Nissan has in their 6th gen Maxima has left me with a lot of trouble. My wheel speed sensor needs to be cleaned or replaced and the bolt is so rusted that the dealership wants to replace the entire Hub. I had them disable the ABS fuse so my abs would stop grinding to protect the actuator but my transmission won't shift out of 2nd gear still. Will unplugging the abs sensors stop this problem until I can get it to my brother in NY to tap out the bolt if it breaks?

The ABS is such a terrible and expensive problem, as the 6th gens age the cost is outweighing the benefit of fixing it. Hopefully you could somehow just disable the whole ABS system because Nissan ****ed it up.
