Timing chains & tensioners DIY job
Timing chains & tensioners DIY job
Does anyone know if it's possible to access the rear sprocket, chains & tensioners etc. on an '06 SE while motor is still in the car? My motor whines but does not clatter. So I need to do the secondary chain shoes, and I would also do the main chain, guides, tensioner etc along w/ water pump.
What about removing the sprockets etc. and not losing any alignment during reassembly? I'm always afraid of the cams turning after releasing the chain tension and then not being able to get everything back in alignment while putting the new chains back on.
