2005 engine rattle (Intake Manifold or tensioner)
I have a rattle coming from my engine. Ive narrowed it down to either the timing chain tensioner or the intake manifold valve. the noise starts when the car starts and fades as it heats up, also when the car is above 3000 RPM it seems to go away. I removed the butterfly valve and none of the screws were loose but the shaft seems a little shaky. here is the link to my video

I have read that the guide for timing chain breaks and needs replaced it is plastic. not sure from your vid if that is it. I have 157k on my 07 and going to have my mechanic fix at some point along with new timing chain. I have had a similar whine but it is from the cvt.
