So I started having problems like the car would only accelerate to 2rpms and my tcs and slip and engine light came on so Itook my Nissan to a tranny shop which tried 7 rebuilt valve bodies so they finally got a new one which seemed to have fix my problem for about a week the car than stopped accelerating at all nothing in drive or reverse I called the shop to get it towed back they said I had a transmission problem and they'll fix it if I supply the tranny after I just gave them 900 for the valve body are they trying to jerk me around ? Is there any way it's not the tranny? any advise would really help car has 157000 on dash

 

Did you pull the code? Sounds like a cam sensor issue after car went into safe mode

 

Sounds like the transmission is gone, the clutches primarily. The valvebody fix does work if the tranny is still in a savable position. I'm not sure what to do in this case, if you plan on keeping the car I would get them to rebuild it.
