This is my first post. Apologies if I did something incorrectly. I am wondering if a 2005 Quest RE5F22A transmission will work on my 2005 Maxima with the same transmission. I know they are the same model # but are the plugs and solenoids the same? I found a really good deal on a transmission that came off of a Quest of the same year and plan to swap them out if at all possible and either do the transgo shift kit or level 10 on the one out of my maxima before the one I found goes bad. If anyone knows or has done this before what do I need to buy or change to make the transmission work in my maxima. Unfortunately my max has fallen victim to the harsh 2-3, 3-2, and P to D stall and jolt. Thank you.

Thank’s for your reply. I agree with you. It is old but the quest that it came out of only had 85,000 miles on it and that beats any other trans I can find. I really just can’t afford a rebuild right now. My plan is to either do the transgo shift kit or level 10 rebuild on the trans that is in my car right now but it is my family’s daily driver. We depend on the maxima daily and don’t really have the time or funds right now to send it off/get someone to install the transgo right now. I basically need a donor trans to put in for a few weeks so I can get everything myself to do the transgo or send the valve body out to level 10. I haven’t purchased the quest trans yet but the price is right and it has a 45 day warranty. Will everything line up and work in my max? I really do appreciate the input and hope to get the problem solved sooner than later. Thank you for your input.
