Hey Guys,

Just bought my son a 07 Maxima SE with the package that makes everything inside look like a CL. On the rear are parking sensors, but the button on the dash shows "OFF" illuminated and no matter what I do (pressing the button) its remains OFF and nothing works.

We tested it while in reverse and still nothing...

Is there a fuse to check? If so which one? Is this a known issue? Expensive to fix?

Perhaps the wiring to the bumper sensors is disconnected? Could be previous owner had the bumper off for some reason, when putting it back on didn't connect it. But as far as a fuse, did you check the manual? It will label every fuse and what system/systems it's protecting. Rear parking sensor is likely part of multiple systems and not isolated to one fuse.

I had the same issue one year after I bought my then 3 YO Quest. The sensor just quit. It would work sometimes, like more often in the Winter than in the Summer, but stopped completely a few months later. Your Maxima is 11 YO so expecting the sensor to work is a stretch.
