2007 scraping/squeaking from left side

Hi all,

This has been a sort of on going issue and it seems to get getting worse. I get a noise...scraping, grinding, sort of noise at various times. Sometimes when I turn a corner, when I brake sometimes, but not often when I am just driving at a slower speed. I'm really not sure what the problem is. I thought it was brakes catching first and I knew they were wearing so replaced both brakes and rotors but still have the issue. I changed out the structs because they were shot when I got the car, and the CV joints needed doing so replaced both axles. I'm really not sure what to look for. Open to suggestions on how to troubleshoot and diagnose exactly what might be causing this noise. It only seems to be coming from the left driver's side.

It's alluded you and you've been doing the work on the car. Seems like no one wants to just throw guesses out there.

Normally noises like this it's a ball joint, steering linkage, could be a strut tower bearing, even the strut that you already replaced could be at issue. Bushing...a lot of things. What about a broken control arm...lots of things.

The work isn't recent that I have done. I took it to the show and they said the sway bar links are shot and I need a new tie rod end. I'll do those and see if that fixes it.

Sway bar links and tie rod end would not explain scraping. You can fix both and that will make your ride better, but scraping is likely coming from the hub area so look at the splash guards if you have them.

I'm thinking dust cover or wheel hub itself. Not really enough info to be of more help. From what I've seen though, these cars are notorious for wearing out the rear hubs....the left one in particular. Don't know why, but that's just something that I've noticed.

You would hear rumbling/growling noise from the worn hubs, not scraping.
Yes, it starts on the rear inexplicably and 20-30k miles later comes to the front.
Dust shields as you called them or splash guards do rust by this time and may cause scraping.
