07 Maxima TPMS Error C1710
07 Maxima TPMS Error C1710
I have a 2007 Maxima that continues to throw a TPMS code of C1710 - Data From Rear Right Transmitter Cannot Be Received. I have replaced the rear right sensor a few times already, and the code pops up within a day or so. I could not find any info on this code on the forum, or where the TPMS receiver antenna was located, so I'm hoping that someone on here can point me in the right direction. Any help or experience is appreciated!

I looked in the service manual, and C1710 is "Data from RR transmitter cannot be received". As I am following the diagnostics in the service manual, it looks like the keyless entry module also doubles as the TPMS receiver? Is that correct?? It looks like that module is under the driver's side dash, so the right rear sensor is the furthest one from the receiver. Am I on the right track?
I apologize for not clarifying, but I am using an Autel TS508 to write the ID's of the sensors through the ALDL port. So the TPS system knows which sensors it should be expecting feedback from. I have even rotated the wheels so that a working sensor from another location goes to that right rear location, and a previously reporting sensor now throws the C1710 code from the right rear.

"Drive for several minutes. Check all tire pressures with CONSULT-II “DATA MONITOR ITEM”.
Are all tire pressures displayed as 0 kPa?
YES >> GO TO 2.
NO >> GO TO 3."
I don't know if the Autel tool will read the sensor feedback through the ALDL cable to see what the module is seeing like what the Consult-II will. I have only used it a handful of times, but do not recall that functionality. I assume that is the objective of that troubleshooting - to see what the module is seeing?
The TS508 cannot run live data. You'd need to find a tool capable of scanning all modules for example. Yes, the objective is for trouble shooting to enable you determine whether to work on the receiver or change the BCM.
