My overhead console had its sunglasses caddy broken for a couple years now (I'd just pulled out the tray itself and left the rest of the assembly mounted), and I decided I'd just replace the entire overhead console assembly today.
Based on the pictures I see in the eBay listing here: https://www.ebay.com/itm/13348661198...m=133486611987
It should just pull straight down from the ceiling.
It did, and it exploded at the same time. My glove box also is broken, snapped in two along the right side, but still help together by the padding glued inside. Does the interior of this car just dry rot?
I cannot get the metal clips out now. I used my plastic spudger to pop if off the ceiling and a bunch of plastic came with it. The spudger won't remove the giant piece still stuck in the ceiling that broke away from the screws on the back of the console. It just crumbles if I tug hard enough. I can't get the metal clips out that are closest to the windshield. See pictures.
Do the Nissan gods here have any suggestions? Thank you!
