fuel filter

fuel filter

hi guys,
can someone please guide me where to locate fuel filter ?
i am seems to have a problem on starting my car. it doesnt start on 1st try. it always start on 2nd or 3rd try.

I don't think there is a filter per say. There is a fuel pump strainer which in attached to the fuel pump itself.

Your starting issue is a notorious issue with our cars. There are lots of guys on the forum fighting this issue you're talking about.

Update when/if you figure out your hard starting issue.

this is wrong.

The fuel filter is internalized within the fuel pump housing. It should last the lifetime of the fuel pump.

I think you're confused here. He is asking about a filter that is serviceable like one traditionally found at some point in the fuel line, not some "screen" within the pump itself. Hence, my reply to him.

2004 fuel pump

Yea I had that same issue for a few years of not starting on 1st try until I replaced fuel pump and ever since it starts on 1st try. I did make the mistake of purchasing the cheapest one they had at my local advance auto shop but had to replace after a few weeks cause it wasn't reading fuel level accurate so I returned for better brand (bosch) and never had another issue.

yes i was looking for fuel filter. which i keep doing research and its part of fuel pump.
