My rear view mirror went foggy a couple months ago. The pax side is fine. It’s like it has a film over it. Doesn’t go away when I try and clean it. Any ideas Driver side
Some BMW guys on another forum said this about auto-dimming mirrors. Do you live in a warm/hot state?
"I had something similar happen to my rear view mirror. Mine looked almost two-toned, half would fade, half would not, and had the distinct look of being half full of liquid. Took it to the dealer to get replaced under warranty.
It ended up being that the auto-dimming fluid was leaking out. I'm guessing it had to do with the FL heat, as it was especially hot around the time this happened."
