CVT Transmission Leak Help

Noticed my rpms were acting weird for a while so I checked the dipstick and it was dry (the car was already running and I made sure to go through all gears before checking). I looked under and there is a black piece on the inner transmission side near the y pipe that is leaking. It took 2 quarts to fill up and the issue with the rpms and taking a while to shift from park to reverse etc was fixed. I just can't figure out what that part is and it's driving me nuts. Anyone know?

You'll probably have to go to the Dealer to find out what it really is.

Thanks for the response, I think it might be that as well although I'm confused the purpose of it really annoying to get to with the y pipe in the way.

Chances are you have a leaking rear main seal or upper oil pan gasket.

As the video shows that cover plate it to get to the bolts holding the flex plate to the torque converter. It is not supposed to be sealed.
