My poor Maxima

We've gone through a lot. A couple of alternators, front and rear shocks/struts, AC compressor pump, rack and pinion, inner and outer tie rod ends. It's basically a new Maxima in an old shell, the engine is still good!

Anyway, one major problem I had is that one of the bolts holding the subframe to the frame sheered off, according to the mechanic that was working on it. I ended up getting it welded and that fixed the issue and everything was bliss.

Unless I went over a speed bump at snails pace heard a slight scrape, then a clunk and my steering went all wonky. I got just to the thing back from the local shop and they say:

It needs a new rack and pinion (the old one has a lifetime warranty so at least I'm covered there)
power steering pump is leaking
Needs a new subframe and bolts
Harmonic balancer seal is leaking

They quoted $2400. I've put so much cash into this car, it seems like a money pit and it might be good to get rid. On the other hand is, I've put so much cash into this thing, but it's reliable and no engine problems, it's full loaded (even has the rear power shade). Only about 167K miles on a 2007. Paintwork still looks great with a few scratches, leather seats are all good and no rips.

I guess I have 3 options:

1. Bite the bullet and get it repaired. Some I can do myself, some I'll need help with.
2. Sell it for "scrap" (how much is it worth in that state?) and shell out thousands for a new car
3. Roll it into the lake and claim on insurance

The second part of this, where would one find a "subframe and bots"? I'm sure Nissan don't make them. I don't even see them listed on various Nissan parts sites or my goto for used bits, car-parts.com

I'm really at a crossroads and looking for suggestions.

Don't you have a U-Pull-It yard? Over the years I've seen a few subframes on the ground that was left behind cause they wanted the engine or transmission.
