2004 vs. 2005+ brakes different?

2004 vs. 2005+ brakes different?
Looks like the 2004 front rotors are not the same as the 2005-2008?
There seems to be a slight difference between the two, has anyone put the "wrong" rotor in?
Experience any issues? I doubt such a tiny variation will cause issues, but just want to be sure.
Also, noticing that the specs for the rotors (for the same year) are not identical from one manufacturer to another.
Looking even further, some manufacturers say one rotor is good enough for 2004-2008 + Murano 2002-2008 + Altima SE-R while others sell 2 different rotors based on the years, I'm confused.
