Back in October, the 6-CD player in my 2007 Maxima stopped working. I'd load a disc, it would accept it, but then I got a "Read Error" every time. I don't think the disc was spinning in the player, so I'd resigned myself to it being just another broken part of my car. It has 118,000 original miles on it, bought in 2006 up north, now living in Florida.

I've had difficulties with the Heat/A/C system this January, and it's been in the shop twice, once for no heat, and once for no air. The shop was one of those that kept pushing their "Fresh Air Package" where they change the cabin filter. I kept rejecting it until this last A/C repair, where I forgot to negate it. After the A/C was repaired and they did the "Fresh Air" package, I was driving around and thought I'd just try the CD player - and it worked! And it's been working flawlessly for days.

Personally I'm thrilled. Is it possible that mucking around with a cabin filter that they found something loose or unplugged?

I had purchased a little Bluetooth adapter for the car, and it had been working all these months, but it's not as enjoyable as the CD player has been. Too much fumbling with the phone to get it to work.
