I am hoping kind members of Maxima.org can help me. I had my 2010 Sport SV stock OEM 19" rims and tires stolen earlier this week. See this thread.

Appraiser came by this morning so I'm waiting to see what Insurance is willing to pay. I don't think insurance will force me to go to a certain shop/vendor/yard and will simply cut me a check. Regardless, I have the money to get this done even before insurance makes their payment.

So I'd like to start finding out if someone will kindly offer to sell their 18" OEM's. I'm in southern Connecticut on the shoreline and live about 50 minutes from Port Chester/New York border.


Here's what I am looking for:

1. People are telling me that "downgrading" to 18" OEM's won't be a problem from a fitting or speedometer perspective. So a set of four 18" OEM rims would be preferable.
2. If someone has 19" OEM's, I'd consider that too but I know that 19's are highly desirable and harder to find.
3. If someone has wheel locks, TPMS sensors, and tires to go along with the wheels, I will happily consider these offers.
4. I'd be happy if someone would offer to come and help me mount the rims and/or tires onto my car. I'd consider paying for mileage/time. My car is literally sitting on cinderblocks. It's extremely embarrasing and stressful being car-less.

If no one local is available, I'd consider buying a shipped set of rims (since I can always get tires mounted onto the rims at an actual tire shop before having them installed onto my car).

P.S. It's such a #$%tty situation to be in. I hope karma will come back and haunt those thieves.

Also, are TPMS sensors universal? E.g. can I just go to a local tire shop and buy a generic set of TPMS sensors?

 

Yes you can buy Nissan tpms and they will work fine. The front tires are runforest or something like that. It's a Chinese brand but I just put them on like a month ago. The back tires have about 4-6 months on them. I they're continental. Not sure ill double check for you
