O cool ya i figured that you would have to use some type of a lift or jack stands. If i had access to a lift i would def use it for sure and save myself $130 from the install at the nissan dealership

Well its hard to say. Its hard to separate the sound from performance IMO. When you open it up, it sounds like its coming alive. It seems to perform better, but its hard for me to tell. With the sound you want to believe its going faster, but is it? This whole nissan thing (V6, FWD) is new to me. I always had RWD muscle cars etc..... with V8s. This car has a different feel across the board. Other guys on this board noticed major increase. Well they are probably more in turn with their maxima than I am. I never really got on mine since I got it, so its hard for me to give a good opinion. I do believe there is improvement, giving the mods, it has to be better. According to stillen's numbers, it should perform much better.

Ya I notice every little thing with my car from the sounds it makes, to the way it rides, and how responsive it is. With just the intake installed you can defiantly tell that there is much more power once you push on that gas. It is a very good addition to the vehicle.

You defiantly picked a great car for the transfer over to Import cars Welcome.

I hear ya man, me too. I still have my LSX in the air tucked in the garage.

You can't touch their performance for the money.

Its just a crying shame you can't reliably dyno these cars with that CVT trans. It'd be interesting to see how much that intake and catback kick up his HP.

To be honest with you i think that there is a little increase in weight with the system but then again the max feels and drives differently then i remember him driving so i cant really tell as everything is new to me again, lol.

BTW I Just got my Racingline FSTB today should be in sometime this weekend.

Sweet pics man, that looks awesome. Word to the wise when your are installing the FSTB. Loosen the bolt in the back with the wrench first. I somehow knocked the suspension bolt holes out of alignment this afternoon and I am still trying to figure out how to fix it ARG!

What i love about the CVT is that when someone else is shifting, you're always pulling! Makes up for time

If the car could launch hard, it would be a 4.8 ~ 5.1 0 - 60 sec car because with a ****ty 2.25 60' foot, it does manage to get to 5.62 (full tank, hot afternoon) ..

Sorry i couldn't get back to you sooner, i was at work. Sorry to hear that that happened. I think all you have to do is just jack the car up and try to put the thing back in place some how. Did you ever figure it out?

What do you mean the back bolt? How did you do the install and whats the easiest way you think it can be done?

I did get it figured out. I had to get two jacks, one for each side. It was a horrible mess. I meant the bolt when looking at the engine bay is the furthest away from you kind of tucked under the lip. Easiest way I can see is either two jack stands to begin with (or car lift if handy) or a completely flat and level surface and do it super quick. My surface was damn near close to flat and level and it still managed to twist and when I jacked up the one side and began to what I thought was twist it back it became even worse until eventually I couldn't see any holes at all. So yeah....good luck.

O wow you def had to do a lot of work... Any Pix?

Do you think that it would work if took of just the back bolt, put the attachment on for the FSTB the brace put that mission bolt back on but only put the bolt far in enough that it hold the strut in place then remove the other two bolts put the brace over those and then screw in the other two bolts half way? Do you think that would work to keep the strut holes in place or do you think it would still get messed up?

Sorry man, I didn't get a chance to take any pics I was too busy shi**ing my pants That is a great idea. The thing I found out yesterday (at the very end of course) is that the part where the holes are on the struts actually rotates independently from the strut itself. I would say your idea might be the best way to go but if that is the case I wouldn't go messing around with jacks and lifts just keep it on the ground so the rest of it can't rotate but again it has to be super super level. Let me know how it goes! If need me to answer anything else just PM me, I will try my best to steer you clear of the mess I was in yesterday.

Thanx a lot man... glad that you got it all worked out though even though it did take a while to do. I'm just going to take mine to the dealership, they are going to install it for me cheap... That way i dont have to worry about messing something up.

Lol, as soon as the first hole went out of line that is exactly what I was thinking. Post some pics up when you get it back. I'm curious to see what the black looks like, I got the chrome and it looks pretty sharp.

Lol yea they are giving me a price of $46 which isn't bad and i'll have the car back in less than half and hour so to me its worth it to just get it done quicker. I actually got the chrome one as well.

Did anyone get the black bar?

Stillen advised approx 14hp with exhaust and approx 8 to 10hp with the intake depending on other mods. That's what was told to me over the phone when ordered. Several on this board said that they are unable to dyno dure to the CVT????
