Performance after Stillen mods installed.

Remember this is my opinion:

After install of Stillen intake and cat-back exhaust I noticed the following;

In "D" mode: sluggish at the very bottom and not as responsive on the low end. A little loud in the low end for me but mid to top end feels good. Again this could be my imagination.
In "Ds" mode: snappy, much more responsive can feel the difference in hp across the board. Overall performance and sound is better
In "M": opens up faster, fills like the rpm's move faster, can feel a difference. Much better in performance and sound.
Come to think of it, it may be that dam lag time at the bottom end that I hate. It may not be worst, its just me hating that low end issue.

Others feel free to jump in here and give your opinions!!!

How does it affect the overall 1/4 mile ? That would decide whether I buy or not... Get the Bullydog now to regain some of that low end ? Now it should breath better if you change your redline to 7100 rpm and use the premium tune .. hmmm... Def. don't want to lose lowend on these cars, it's already bad enough with the WOT Governor ?

Wonder how that Bullydog works anyway .. what a redneck name

I'm not sure but I thought that the bullydog didn't help the lower end problem with the WOT Governor on the Maxima. The bullydog will help in the mid to top end range for the maxima. I don't have the bullydog yet but thats what I've heard. Keep us updated. I would of never thought that the performance with the intake and exhaust would be any different in the D, Ds, & M Mode. Its good to know.

that's why i have all the questionmarks because i heard the same yet the bullydog website claims it disables it, but i guess not on a 09 Max ? dunno I wouldn't mind the 7100 redline and premium tune ... the stillen should help with that... I always thought that exhaust (which is tuned to the car and will change the powerband if you change from OEM) and intake would help other mods, after you retune the car with them.. my experience with it anyway ... so maybe the intake and exhaust would help the bullydog premium tune

I have the BD but it doesn't give you the option to advance the timing for the low end, however with Premium Tune you can raise the Rev Limiter to 7100 and the Top End all the way to 172mph.

I think the only thing that's going to help our low end is for Nissan to retune the CVT response to our manipulation of the gas pedal.

I hate that Lag, it really sucks because this car flat out flies after 30=35 mph. A lightweight UDP may help to get a faster response off the line as well.
