The video wording may be somewhat unclear, and Nissan's documentation can also be confusing. In the video, the tester said the backup camera is available without Nav as part of an option package. What he didn't explain is that option package is the Premium Package, which has an MSRP of $3450.
In other words, the backup camera is available ONLY as either part of the Technology (Nav) Package, or as part of the Premium Package.
This reverse backup camera would require quite a bit of work to add to the car, and may require adding much of the Premium Package technology. It is a lot more than mounting the little black camera under the center of the chrome bar on the back of the trunk and installing a sensor to detect when the car is in reverse. With this backup camera, there is a grid box showing the outer edges of where the car is going to be displayed on the screen picture, and this grid changes with every slight adjustment of the steering wheel as you back up.
I will be very surprised if there is any reasonable way to have the OEM backup camera and associated technology installed on an '09, other than it having been installed at the factory as part of either the Premium or Technology Package.
But then I'm not a tech expert; I'm simply reading Nissan's documentation.

I know this has been answered multiple times but I feel like saying it again, you do NOT need Nav to get the Rear View camera. This was one of my favorite things about the Maxima, options wise at least, because all the Toyota's and Lexus's required you to buy a $2500 Nav just to get the screen and rear view camera. The worst thing is that all stock nav systems are worse than aftermarkert units that only cost $200 so buying a car with one was not an option for me.

They need to bring back all the gadgetry of the second gen Maxima and the weird options from the late 80s early 90s Nissans! Just modify them a bit for todays needs and technology.
* Door ajar, door ajar lol.

I loved both my 1985 Maximas. I drove one of them 206,000 miles using only Castrol GTX 10W-40 dino oil the entire time. The engine was still running beautifully when I gave the car up. That car was silver, and I named it 'Grey Ghost.' I named the woman's voice (that was always telling me 'fuel is low') 'Hildegarde.' I named the woman's voice in my wife's '85 Maxima 'Esmeralda.'
I have loved all my Maximas, but when it comes to pure emotional attachment, I will never have the love in my heart for another car the way I did for my old Grey Ghost. That was also probably the last vehicle I owned where I knew what everything under the hood was, and where just about every wire ran.
