Not that I know of, but if it helps, Nissan's Next Generation Nav system in the upcoming 370Z Roadster has connection via a USB port and bluetooth.......probably something to look for in the 7.5 gen Maxima

Anyone know what options my wife has for hooking up her Sony MP3 player to the Maxima? The Nissan Salesman said that Staples sells the plugs but the Staples near us had no idea what the Ipod cable was.

He was probably referring to an RCA-to-Mini headphone cable. One end has the red and white RCA connectors and the other has a mini headphone jack to plug into the mp3 player. If you have the Bose audio system then there is a set of AUX A/V inputs in the center console that you can hook up the RCA side of the cable to.

Ah ok. Yeah we got the Bose system and I know we have the A/V jacks in the console. I will stop into a local RadioShack and pick them up. Thanks.

09 maxima tech package usb workaround etc
The 09 Maxima has a compact flash port on the front of the console. I believe there is a compact flash card device that adds a usb port via a long cable with a female usb end but havent tried that since the firmware on nav might not accept the device.

Is there a way to convert the ipod connector to a usb port inside the arm rest so it's like the 2010 model with usb?

Also, does anyone watch movies on their 09 maxima? If so, is using an external dvd player connected to rca jacks the only way to watch movies? Has anyone played movies through an iPHone or iPod?

Thanks

I am using ipod generation 5.5 with RCA connect to watch movie and built my own by pass relay circuit with on/off switch so that i can turn on the movie for my son while driving. all it needs is two relay and a switch, that way i can flip the switch to off and it goes back to factory setting and flip to on for allow watching while driving otherwise you have to stop and put on the parking brake. Amazon do carry 12volt dvd player stand alone without the screen so that you can connect via RCA also. I think I will get one of those as I getting sick of ripping the movies from dvd to ipod.
