So if one were to install lowering springs and keep the stock shocks/struts, would you be signing yourself up for problems in the fututre? Can you keep the stock components or will they fail soon after? Anyone have an idea of what warranties would be void?
well most of us keep our stock struts with the new springs..... i had my eibach springs on my 02 altima for about 4 years plus with no problems......now i have the 09 max.... so im convinced thatthey can last a while with out changing the oem struts!!
My previous car's struts actually never needed replacement even after being lowered for 8+ years. IMHO, leave the stock struts on there until they spring a leak. Then change them out to something better. No sense in changing them for storage in your garage.
hey theres only a few spots online that will sell them...do a google search..... but for you info.... i called up eibach and they said the 09 max springs ( prokit) will be available the 2nd week of july 09!!
I just got off the phone with Stillen and they will get the Pro kits in tomorrow, 6/26. They quoted me a good price of 243.00. If you google the p/n 6392.140 you will get quite a few online stores selling already, but Stillen was the best price.
Is that for all 4 or just 2 of them?
Yes, but you will need a good floor jack, jack stands, and an alignment, when done. I did my '06 Mustang GT, it was more of a basic suspension compared to the Maxima.
I just called my local Sears auto center, and they are selling the springs for $267, or $587 installed.
I think I will go the installed route, it is alot of wrenching, and the car could always fall on you,.....thats not good....

i would not trust Sears to do an oil change on my car. i have heard soo many horror stories about them from people i know...
the only thing that concerns me is the ride exactly the same
. My last pair of Eibach spring i installed on a sports car felt like my car was on a pogo spring drivng. I ended up taking them out a week later the ride was soo bad...

I've read that they are "highly street-able" and the ride is as good if not better than stock.
I've read several reviews that H&K and Neuspeed are much more aggressive and fit the auto-cross crowd perfectly, whereas Eibach is really just about aesthetics and preserving the stock ride.
So they were too soft? Please explain the model and car type. I've read several forums that they are as soft as the OEM springs but have never read that they "pogo" spring you around.

My local Sears was populated with nitwits,(about 10 yrs ago), I was kinda being hopeful that they had turned the corner, maybe I will rethink the doing it myself. I could use the extra $200 savings.

just wondering did anyone buy the eibachs yet?
As of today Stillen still only has the H&R's listed on the website. Does anyone have them in stock?
Did anyone notice that the front drops 1.3" and the back drops 1.4"? It seems that it would be better if the fron ere a little lower than the back. Also, I had Eibach's on my 5th gen and the ride was definitely firmer than stock. I changed out to H&R's after a few years. The ride is much better but still firmer than stock. I was running Tokico adjustable struts/shocks. These 7th gen springs might be different, but I'm sure they will be firmer than stock. Just my .02 ...

I added the Stillen lip, so i prefer the Eibach's over the H & R's at the moment. Don't want that lip to low, or you know what happens when you go over those speedbumps.
MaxLoverAz you are right, the back is higher then the front. I think these Eibach's are going to be great, lets just hope they get it right on the 1st Batch. My luck they won't and 2nd and 3rd batch will get the proper fitment. Xrossing my fingers. I hate taking one for the team sometimes.
