Do we really have a Retained Accessory Power Function?

I have an SV-Premium. But I appear to not have the RAP system or I am confused about it's operation. Shouldn't that leave the radio on, once the car is turned off and before the doors are open. On the Nissanusa.com site, it says we have the RAP system, but I think that is a mis-print, because I have found no examples of it. Anybody got any enlightenment on this subject?

After I turn off the ignition, I can still open / close my windows and sunroof. So, I'd call that an example of power being retained, in this sense. Have not tried to keep the radio on, or haven't noticed it anyway.

Yes true, but that only lasts for 45 seconds. Most RAP in other cars lasts for 10 minutes, including Radio.

I guess I am just dis-satisfied with this on the Maxima.

I'd rather not listen to RAP for more than 45 seconds... LOL

That's what I've noticed too. Windows work until someone opens a door. As for the radio, I try not to sit in the car and use the display/radio for long periods of time without the car on. Usually when I turn off the car I exit it so I don't really know if the radio stays on for a little bit.

Hmmm, now I am curious if my radio stays on once I turn the ignition off. I am 80% sure it doesn't.

I have an 05 with RAP. As far as I know, it's only intended use is to close/open windows or sunroof - mostly for those occasions when you forgot to do it before shutting the ignition off.

Yep; retained accessory power does not apply to the radio. Works great with my windows. I really love that I can still adjust the windows after turning off the car.
