Smile Auto up and down windows stoped working after disconnecting battery

ok well i decided to make this thread because this is something i just learned today and i thought i should share it with you guys....

i tried to install my sub and amp the other day and well i took apart my radio deck and unplugged the climate control and SRS airbag indicator..... after no luck with the system install (amp goes into safety when radio is set to 18...) I put everything back to the way it was and i noticed my SRS Airbag light blinking on front colum where the ODOmeter is....

so thinking that maybe unplugging my battery for like 10 minutes would reset the light...it didnt....

So after i put battery back i go to close my windows and the auto up feature didnt work...i was like WOWWWWWWWWWW what the efff is going on

so today i was like let me try something that i did to fix the auto sunroof on my dads mercedes.....

(make sure car is set to "on" the car doesnt have to be on just the button ignition set to "on")

keep in mind during this whole process you must hold the window button/switch (whatever its called) up and dont release untill you finish the 3 steps.

1. set ignition on "on" possition
2. hold the auto windows button up
3. while holding it up turn off the car
4. then put the ignition on the "on" position again while holding the the window thing up (hold for 5 more seconds)

put the windows down then bang all of a sudden my windows went up auto again and i was one happy camper but my srs air bag light is still blinking =(

i dont know if this made any sense to you guys...but hey it got my windows both driver and passenger side going up automatically again....

Yes, we knew about the window "Auto" function. Let us know what happens with your SRS light.

Make sure to do one window at a time or somehow if u do them all at on time the system gets confused and the windows will start acting up again.

I did that several times and the auto up still doesn't work. I didn't do it with the switch on the passenger's side only the driver side switch that controls the passenger side window. I'll have to try that next. if not I'll have the dealer look at it once a fix for the driver side seat movement is out and have em fix it then. thanks

Just hold the auto up when the car is on and the window is all the way up for like 5-6 seconds. Don't over complicate things by turning the car on and off.

It's funny that you posted this thread because my Auto Up and Down feature stopped working after I installed my BD but I guess it wasn't due to the BD because I realized that at one point I did disconnect my battery but the even more odd thing is that now all of sudden my passenger side window Auto Up and Down feature has begun to work on its' own without me doing anything other than rolling the window up and down several times.
