Audio video screen, playing videos n movies?

need some help here, i bought the apples ipod video cable, but cant seem to get any videos playing from my ipod touch

i plugged all 3 cables in, red, white and yellow, then changed screen over to video, it then comes up with Cinama and another option. i picked cinama although i tried both. no video playing on the nav screen

is there something im doing wrong or will this only play movies and not video from itunes>?

Do you have the parking brake on too? First time I tried to play video from my ipod I forgot to put it in park AND put on the e-brake.

Ya try it with the e-brake on too, apparently Nissan wanted to be redundant with the brake lock-out. It's overkill if you ask me, but some may argue its the "safe" thing to do.

Yes putting on the park break should take care of it. Companies have to jump though so many hoops in order not to get a law suite. I am sure though that if you look out there long enough you will find out how to get around having to have it in park.

actually youre right,...how you get around it is that you locate the parking brake wire going to the radio and cut it and place a switch on it,....any simple toggle switch,...

What has to happen is the radio must be grounded AFTER the radio is powered up and the parking brake provides that after power ground,....

Just cut the wire ( not sure what color it is on the 7th gen and run it to a toggle switch.
and when you turn on the radio,...switch the switch to off then back on and it will play
