Oh that Maxima....

It honestly looks like a boat to me; like that was the re-design product that Nissan was planning to release when they said they had the choice of improving on the 6th gen's body or completly revvamping the Maxima. I would DEFINATELY move to Infiniti if that Maxima were sold here in the U.S. The interior looks like the new Murano.

In fact its not too bad; it could easily pass as a luxury car.

It would look better without the chrome trim around the body of the car.

I just want the steering wheel, the controls look to be more user friendly.

+1

That thing looks like a pure luxury car. But i like how its available in the 2.5 aswell. And the back seat looks enormous.

I kept thinking of my 6th gen while watching that video. I think Dauntless nailed it when he suggested that car evolved from our 6th gen Maxima, while our '09 is a completely new design. I felt this tester gave the CVT a fair shake. Many testers go in with a predisposition to pan any CVT, no matter how good or bad it may be.

Rebadged Infiniti

To me it looks like a re-badged Inifiniti M with superficial exterior changes.

Yeah even the buttons on my old 2004 Pontiac Grand Prix were easier to access, than this car.

LOL! Remember when Nissan said that they had the option of just simply improving the Max or completely revvamping it? This maxima must have been their plan B.

Something tells me that we are supposed to love our Max more. Most of us live in the North American market. Based upon our preferences, Nissan developed the concept for the "MAXI"

Based upon the Australians" preferences, it differs. For example, they couldn't get away with a 2.5 liter engine for the Maxima in this market!
