Question Dashboard Light Color, Keep or Kick?

1. Nissan should kick it because it is too fugly
2. Nissan should keep it because it is bright and safe
3. Nissan should use a cool blue lighting instead
4. Nissan should use another color other than Orange or Blue

I don't particularly care for the Orange Lighting used on our Dashboard and I think it is fugly, I was considering using the blue lights for the interior like I saw here before.

Do you guys like the Orange Lighting?

I hate it, besides the headrests those would be one of the things that I'd change or get rid of on this car.

Why Nissan didn't use a cool blue like in the Jetta is beyond me!!

It sucks that they brought the Navigation design over from Infiniti, but didn't include the coolblue/white lighting. That, with LED's in the Mood Lighting, and the Frost Interior, would really set the cars interior off.

Cool Blue FTW!

Should be green, best color for the eyes and night viewing. Ask any pilot or SAAB owner.

Cool blue is the best for me personally at night with my horrible night blindness. It also gives a more sophisticated feel.

Yes I'm somewhat color blind and I know that blue is nice I think my GF's Acura had blue we got rid of it last year.

From the New Scientist:

Study finds blue lighting keeps drivers awake

The usual methods of winding down the window or turning up the stereo to stay awake on long journeys are mediocre at best, but carmakers are working hard to develop new safety features to prevent motorists from falling asleep behind the wheel. Mercedes-Benz is testing a system that uses face-recognition software to detect if a driver is getting drowsy, while Toyota and a number of Japanese suppliers are testing car seats containing pressure-sensors that detect changes in pulse and respiration to determine how tired a driver is.

Scientists at the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in New York have come up with another solution that’s as simple as installing some blue LEDs around the cabin. Initial testing has found that by shining blue light at certain wavelengths, a driver’s alertness can be increased and their body-clock reset.

A drawback of this method is that it’s only practical at night but researchers are investigating how the blue light affects daytime alertness of sleep-deprived and non-sleep-deprived subjects, reports New Scientist.
The researchers are already working with a number of auto parts suppliers but they claim the project is still in the early stages.

not a fan of the Orange...feel as though I've been sucked thru the twilight zone to the 80s and TransMaroBirds!! Cool Blue or Green for me...lets save the orange and reds for alerts and alarms.

Has anyone tried to switch out the LEDs in the dash yet? I have a feeling it isn't as simple as it seems....
