R2C Performance Products Intake
I have been a big dirt late model racing fan since I was 3 years old and the R2C filters have a great reputation on the dirt circle tracks. I would love to get an R2C intake for my car and support them. It would be great if we could get a timeline on this intake, if it's far enough out I may get a Stillen just to hold me over then sell it.
I'll feel silly if there's been a miscommunication, but my understanding after talking to Ed today is that there will be a 7th gen test fit this week, and they're pushing to make rapid progress on the overall project.
R2C has a batch of 6th gen intakes in stock now (black-nickle finish), and we're just waiting on the final price determination to kick off the group deal for their first Maxima project.

Sorry for the delay guys, everything went great. Ed's going to make some adjustments to the intake box that keeps the heat out so it'll seal perfectly with the hood closed and then we're going to attempt a dyno comparison over stock. He's also tweaking the inlet duct to tightly fit/accept the stock air inlet.
I'm not sure how the dyno will work with the CVT, but we may try manual mode from 2,500 - 6,500RPM before it shifts to see.
I'll tell you this... This system looks gooood.
I'll let you guys know when I get the call for the production unit fitting.

I think it'll work find for what we're looking to do.

Can't wait to see the pics after the complete install, finally some good news for power improvement in our cars other than the headers, exhaust and stillen intake.
Now if we can only find someone with enough genius to get rid of this CVT lag/bog then we'll be low 1/4 mile 13 sec cars for sure.

I wish someone would come up with tranny software too... Bullydog shat on us with that one.
Spoke with Ed today about the 6th and 7th gen projects and he seems almost as excited about the 09+ test fit and pending production as you guys are. I think its pretty much been said already, but he confirmed that the test fit went well and said that the typical timeline between completed prototype to ship-ready parts is 4 weeks.

Pricing is out for the 6th Gen, check it out: http://forums.maxima.org/7424220-post273.html
Awesome that is defiantly a good price for that product... Especially when you think about not having to wash and oil filters anymore and all you need is low compressed air. This system is going to be a hit... Can't wait to get one of them on my car and take the Stillen Intake out.
Haha! I know, but trust me... theh finishes they're offerering are VERY nice. I chose the polished aluminum finish to match the chrome Mazda badge under the hood, but their black chrome looked WICKED!
