I really like it. With these Euro pedestrial crash safety design guidelines having a global impact and forcing these big bulging hoods for extra engine bay clearance, Infiniti (and Nissan) seem to have found ways to hide the bulge and still give their sedans a pretty sleek appearance. A lot of recent sedans have looked fat and ugly to me, but I was guessing they'd figure things out eventually (the Germans had a 1 generation head-start on all this).
Infiniti is no stranger to Pimp. If Dolomite owned a car, it would be an Infiniti FX. (puke)
Just study the rear quarter panels, and the unnecessary upswoop to the lines there. It just isn't tasteful.

Now, 420 hp... that's freaking awesome. I wouldn't mind some of that!
I agree. They took the current stylistic cues that are driving Nissan and Infiniti today, then went overboard. When you start with a design that is borderline Gaudy, then add Bling and pointless curves to try and make it upscale, you end up with Pimp. (Hmm, the Genesis comes to mind, too.)

Weird that this thread is here, and not in the Other Cars section. In case anyone is wondering... the only reason I occasionally troll the 7th gen section is because the new Max is so drop-dead gorgeous. It's my "if only" car.
not so 56k friendly

Yes, an oversized G-Sedan, with a fair bit of 7th Gen Maxima thrown in. Good observation. But in my opinion the mix is a fail. It's over-styled.

I'd rather have my Maxima! It just looks like a complete flowing car, the Infiniti sedans just look smooshed up at the back, they're incomplete. Like I say, if it's incomplete it can't compete with my 7th Gen. Maxima!
