Winter Wheels & Tire Questions

I am looking at purchasing a set of winter tires and wheels either in 17" or 18" any suggestions I am not looking to spend a bunch of money. I have a 09' Max w/ Sport Package (19" Factory Wheels w/ All season tires). Question as well is weather or not 17" will clear the brakes or not?

Hankook W300 Ice Bear are a great winter tire that is pretty cheap. As far as the brake issue I am pretty sure we can clear 17's being that people have already done it.

Yep. Just from several posts here recently on this subject, it seems that 17" wheels will clear the brakes/hubs, but 16" wheels will not clear them.
