Anniversary

I have had the 2009 Maxima for a year now. Had the oil and filter changed at 9100 miles along with rotation and all wheel alignment. Total cost at a local shop was $98.87 which is less than the oil change at some dealers. They have a clean shop and are meticulous about their work. (Advantage of a small town?) Hoping not to see the inside of a dealership until our next Maxima about 2016 or 100k miles.

Worst tank is still 23.2 although the numbers aren't going up. The MPG gauge has always been within .2 of actual calculated measurement which seems in the range of error anyway so I don't bother calculating..apparently got a good gauge on it. The only flaw for me is the visibility could be better. Very, very happy with the car.

I am less than a month from my car's anniversary, and still waiting for my first problem. I just finished another very pleasant road trip (around 900 miles). I agree with Mick7 about visibility, and would have real problems seeing close behind this car EXCEPT for the wonderful rear view camera. I have grown to love this CVT, and overall, I am extremely happy with this car. If it was stolen tomorrow, I would immediately get another Maxima equipped exactly as the one I have (Winter Frost/Cafe Latte with Premium and Tech). Life is truly good.

I'm almost at a year and 5 months, and still no major problems. Still have the "rocking chair" with no fix, but I'm so used to it now, I don't notice unless I'm looking for it. I haven't regretted my purchase but if I'd have known how much my work schedule was going to change, I probably wouldn't have purchased.

About 4 months after purchasing, I was given the option of working remote (from home) full time, and now I put less than 50 miles a month on her. Far different than the 50 miles a day I was doing. I probably have the earliest purchased 09 with the fewest miles on her....

Lol, it is a nice color combo. The cafe leather color is nice as well, but I had a car with a lighter colored interior in the past.... With a teenager who still is spill prone, it wasn't a smart move on my part.

The easy solution to that that is allow nothing but water in the car. That is my strict rule and everybody in the family follows it. Only water, and no eating in the car.

IM not even up to my 6 month anniversary, and I have 15000 miles. On 12-23-09 i hit 6 months. I have had no problems yet. The bluetooth was kinda weird at first, but works fine now. Fixed the passenger seat vibration and I had my 15000 miles check up. 200 bones. free oil change, rotate tires/balance tires, add some things to the gas, lube doors and stuff, and one hell of a detail job. (to bad it rained 30 mins after i left) plus an inspection +$30.00

Had my car since Aug 08 and no problems whatsoever, no Rocking Chair and none of that stuff. I haven't been through Nissan for my services (oil changes any of that) but I do have them done professionally and keep all of my documentation.

The great thing most of us already know about the Maxima is that the VQ is nearly bulletproof and will last a lifetime as long as you take care of it.

For all of those who are new to Nissan and especially the Maxima, I say welcome aboard and what took you so long to join the rest of us?? LOL!

I want one. Too bad I'm only 16 and don't have a good career. (or any career )
Mom just bought a '06 Murano, so I got the '00 Maxima. No complaints whatsoever.
