My 08 came with a full spare like the 4 on the ground. I know the 7thgen don't come with any spare. So, I have ONE 2010 19" that is same as what is on the 4 wheels of the 2010 Maxima Sports.

I have ONE 2010 19" rim for sale to someone who has a bent or scratched up rim and wants NEW back. Or maybe someone who might be interested in having a spare. But as lightonthehill mentioned, it might stick out above the trunk spare wheel well. So, do your homework before making purchase.

I see two or more notches in the tire which leads me to believe something out the ordinary happen. I feel for your pain but you may have to buy new rims.

My local Nissan dealer finally replaced a rim on my 09 Maxima which is a 19''. I had a vibration since the week I bought it and finally after 10k miles, they balanced the tires and found a bent rim. I pushed and pushed and they finally got me the new $795 rim covered under warranty BECAUSE they say they say they are indestructable for normal highway driving, they did SPECIAL tests for strength on these particular wheels for the new Maxima, BS. Not enjoying this car yet, still has a slight vibration and shimmy to the steering wheel up to 40 mph. Good thing this is a lease.

I prefer 17" rims on the 5th gens & 18" on the 6th gens. I won't ever go with 19" rims. causes stress on car, body frame, suspension, tire, rims, etc...

but hey, they look great until you bend one. worst your rims are warped & you don't even know it

I think the 19" rims on the maxima bend real easy
I just hit a channel cut into the road to lay something...which was later filled with dirt.....i guess the edge was pretty sharp.....and i hit it doing 70-80km/h.....didnt think anything of it....but just the other day i noticed a bend between two spokes on the front wheel...

I have a 2010 Max S....here in Saudi Arabia all the maximas come with 19" rims....with a full size spare as well....and it fits perfectly in the trunk....so u basically have no choice....

I hit a curb the other day because I was playing with my bluetooth audio and not paying attention. I tore a piece of sidewall off but my rim was fine. It was my leaft front wheel. The only thing is that I got a slight amount of curb rash.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, I think the only reason my rims have not bent is because I have wheel coverage

the days of running fat tires from the factory is def over but 40 aspect ratio here is good enough to save the wheels from bends. what is your tire pressure and what kind of potholes are you hitting? these wheels are not all that durable but factory wheels should still not bend as easy.

I had 33 Psi in my tyres.....but when i got the car it was 40....and the ride seemed to be quite harsh.....so i looked it up in the manual...and it said...that the tyres should be 33Psi.....but after ruining my Rims i've put em back 38Psi....the Max rating on the bridgestone potenza is 52Psi

hit a wheel hard enough and it will get damaged.

that pic is a classic outcome of a cast wheel.

Garbage rims

These Rims are absolute garbage I have a 2010 with the 19" and I have had all 4 bent at some point. Honestly I'm selling the car because of this reason the amount of money I've spent on tires and rims is bull**** I'm done with this ****

Or you could just buy different wheels. But just about any car you buy that comes with 19 inch wheels or greater is gonna suffer the same risk. Wanna save your rims... Get beefier tires.

19" rims bend easily

I just replaced the 18" rims on my 2010 Max SV and added the 19" rims found on the 2012-2013 Max. Holy crap, these wheels look sick!

I hope these rims don't bend as I got them remanufactured from a place in Georgia that I found on eBay.

Any tips to avoid bent rims are cool with me (obvious avoiding pot holes, curbs, sidewalks, & anything else).

Thanks!

MJ

Maybe not the answers you want to hear, but buy tires with taller sidewalls and stay away from the Euro-stretched look.

You'd be kind of on your own as far as fitting without rubbing is concerned, though.

Well I can add to this old thread....hit a pot hole about a week ago, car was ok but it was A hard hit on the front drivers side when driving on the FDR....yesterday I hit another hole and after that one I was hearing a woodpecker type sound when only going 0-30 and then it disappeared at higher speed......so I look at the tire the next day and notice it low and two cracks in the sidewall.....I go to tire place they remove it and we notice A slight crack in the rim smh. Great now I got the ugly spare on there while I gotta figure out what to do.....don't wanna spend couple hundred lol

the 18 inch rims call for a 245/45 and i would prefer a 245/50 which could help
much better with a cushion higher than the 45 and could prevent rim bents,,the 19 inch rims with 245/40 are closer to the ground and risky for bends ,,since most of the roads all have defects of potholes ..the 19 inch are cool but better for flat roads but not worth for bad roads..
