I took my baby in for her first service appointment today. When the Service Advisor was writing up the ticket, he told me there was a navigation system recall that they needed to perform an update for. Unfortunately, it turned out that they did not have the update on-hand because the recall had just been released. The Service Advisor could not provide me with any details on the extent of the update or why it was required.

I do not believe this is an actual recall because I could not find any information on it at NTSB.com. It's probably more like a TSB. Has anyone else heard about this?

I had it done as well, unfortunately my cousin who is Assistant Service Manager couldn't tell me what it involved as the info was not available to him either.

 

Usually when I'm close to a destination, it acts like it doesn't know the area and stops giving me voice commands. I don't remember exactly what it says, but hopefully this fixes the issue. I'm not talking about just new areas either.

 

UGH! I hate reading posts like this. It makes me paranoid about the navigation. Hopefully someone will be able to clarify the issue soon.
