I think the picture is a lil blurry, but a more crisp picture will show more definition. Looks real nice though, i can see past the blurry pic, lol.

The front grill is polarizing, but I like it. I'm not feeling the rear piece over the license plate though.. Is that an actual carbon fiber fitting on the roof?

Nice neighborhood.

Your car, but personally I'd have left the white piece separating the upper and lower grill pieces. To me, it looks like the big ole gaping grill of a Mack truck. But, whatever you're happy with.

Hey Guy, kuddos on the creativity! I think it makes it look like a blinkin' Audi in the front. Not sure whether that is good or bad. But I am certainly not knocking it!! Good Job!

Thanks bro. It's the stock grill spray painted matte black. And the bottom piece is just a vinyl overlay.

This is a situation where the car will look better in person than in pics. A person standing near the front of the car will not see the front grill from quite the position the photo was taken, and the grill will not seem as 'hole-like' from their viewpoint as it does in the photo.

Nissan had a similar problem almost two years ago. They released photos of the 7th gen on March 19, 2008, and the general public reaction based on the photos was fairly blah. So when Nissan put the '09 on dealer lots June 26, 2008, few folks bothered to go check it out.

But, after a few people finally bought this 7th gen, and people began seeing it on the street, most folks really liked it, so there was a delayed flurry of buying.

In other words, I feel sure that whtdvl's 'redesign' will look better in person than it does in photos. It certainly is interesting.

Definitely interesting. I would like to see better photos. The black roof looks good. However, I do not like the black over the license plate.

Have you considered a head light overlay with that front end set up?

The cloudy day in which the photos were taken make it impossible to tell whether the black bar on the back has a shiny finish to match the roof, or is a flat finish (which the lighting makes it look in this photo).

I feel a flat black bar would not be as effective in this situation as a shiny black one which would tie in with the roof.

Not sure how I feel about it. I think it goes well with the black roof though. How did you do it, paint/vinyl?

I figured I'd revisit your mods after a day to see if I felt the same way...

You know... That back piece may look more blended with the emblems and lettering blackened and the tail lights tinted darker.

I like the blackened grills, but I don't like the piece in the middle blackened. Just makes the front too "gaping" to my eyes. I still feel you need some kind of "separation" between upper and lower grill.

Yea thats my next mod going to debadge and black out the tail lights. I just couldnt stand that cheap looking too shiny chrome over the license. Wat I really wana do is take to a body and have them dull it out to look a lot more greyish/aluminum but then i am gona have to do the chrome around the windows and door handles also.

Very nice mod. Keep up the innovative spirit. As one org member said, to each their own. So, mod your car according to your taste, style and creativity. Hopefully too, with tips from other org members, you could make it stand out even more.

Keep up the good work.

i think it would look sick if you keep the seperator for the top and bottom grille white and black out the headlights like "isik" did ... i like the contrast of the black grill with the nissan emblem in the middle.. but to have the whole thing black gives it the feeling of the way audi has the big hole for a grille.. but if you are feeling it then that's all that matters and you wont know until you try.. so you go my vote definitely.
