Racingline Updates

Hey guys just wanted to touch base with you all. i apologize for the absence and I know a lot of you have been waiting patiently for the Ypipe to come out and I am happy to say that production has finally recommenced and the Ypipe should be ready in about 4 weeks. Sooner if we're lucky. We had a lot going on and it was just too hard to make room in both the budget and schedule.

But it's on the way and officially this time
Ypipe features:
- enlarged and smoothed primary runners
- lined interlocking flex sections
- removal of the 3rd unmetered cat.
- Approx HP is 14whp
- lightened weight
- full stainless steel construction

comparison to stock pics below:

ALL STRUT BRACES ARE ALSO NOW BACK IN STOCK

Also coming out by spring time is our:

Rear sway bar
- Stronger than anything currently available, this bar is a solid alloy bar measuring 22.2mm with adjustable settings for your desired performance level.

If all goes well we should also have an under chassis brace ready by April as well

We try The plan is there and the brace is drawn up, we just need to formalize things and start testing. Both should at least start within 2 weeks

Check out this link: Racinglineperformance.com

It should take you straight to the Y-Pipe if not it is going to coast $289.99 + Shipping & Tax if there is any.

I am going to see if there is some type of a group buy that can be done through them for this product as well so maybe lower than that.

Here is what the "Y" pipe sounds like on our Maxima, also I think with the estimated 14 HP added, no drone and stock look I'll get what I wanted and what the Stillen fails to provide. I'm in group purchase or not....

In the installation guide:

4. With the pipe now removed, you should
either transfer over the OEM crush
gaskets
to the new YPipe or install
news ones.

@MaxLover - The exhaust note is awesome!!! Thers's a sound in the video like something metal is rubbing against. It happens when you first sit down in the car and especially when you pull up after your run. Maybe it's just me, but have someone pull your car up while you're standing outside of it. It sounds like a heat shield or something.....or not.

I'm not sure how crush gaskets work, but wouldn't they lose effectiveness if they are already "crushed"? New ones cost $4.24 ea for the two fronts and $8.76 for the single rear. When the time comes and I get the Y-pipe I will def get new gaskets. Doesn't seem like a big deal.

I also notice in the picture the OEM upper flanges have a 'lip' made from the pipe extending a little farther than the flange plate. The Racingline one looks flush. Will this cause issues when trying to seat the gaskets?

When i first bought the y pipe from racingline (i was the one with the flange problem) , they said to transfer the oem gaskets over to the new y pipe, but the oem gaskets were stuck and did not come off the oem pipe. I just wanna make this clear to everybody, and that the new y pipe from racingline should really come with new gaskets cause the oem ones are not reuseable

Not my car.... That video is from RacingLine. I do hear the metal noise you mention not certain it's from the exhaust though.

Yeah I make it a practice to never reuse gaskets kind of stupid for how cheap they are. Even my oil changes I pay for new crush washers when I DIY.

OK, hopefully they resolve that problem so it isn't an issue with the production pipes.

I wouldn't assume their is a problem, many exhausts systems just need a quick adjustment after installation that is a very common occurrence and extremely easy fix.

Y pipe is in the building!!!!!!!

They are in our east coast warehouse and going through final inspection and packaging. The website sales has been activated for those of you that wish to order, however they will not likely ship until late monday or early tuesday. Thanks for the patience guys while this was getting done.

No GB as they take time to set up, instead we just have an intro price that will stand for 2 weeks

ya it is to bad I guess that $50 isn't bad but from my point of view I can always wait for summer and see what other people think about the ypipe if there is hp gain or mpg gain as well as how it sounds. That my view anyway.

Just wanted to let everyone know that there are 26 Units left for the racingline ypipe.

Thats not bad. I think when I put my exhaust on and needed another gasket it coast like $9 for one of them. I work at CarMax so I might even be able to get the part cheeper through them with the employee discount.

Just ordered mine. I'll skip buying new gaskets since my car/exhaust still has very few miles on it. And I've never had any issues reusing stock gaskets on any of my other rides. Hopefully I'll be able to break into the 13s with the y-pipe

Get some Headers with the Y and you'd probably be running better numbers than your Z!
