Ratdoc you sound like my mother!... Do you know anything about airbags?? You can go up AND down. Plus your riding on an airbag and not a metal spring.

WOW! You wouldn't want to forget to raise it before driving around my neighborhood! We have speedbumps with more ground clearance.

Are these the same systems the showcars use to 'bounce'?

Well, I guess I should be glad you didn't say "grandmother", because that's how I feel when I see some of these pointless mods. I'm a "function over form" type who disagrees with, but can understand, the motivation behind the "form over function" guys.

What I'll never understand are the guys that give up form and function just to be different.

Anyway, I'm going to start following MY grandmother's advice, which began "If you can't say anything nice..."

Remember, MODS to our cars are like opinions. Not everyone is going to like (or appreciate) what folks choose to do to their vehicle.

Some folks want flash, some want function, some want speed, some just want to be different than everyone else, and someone else may put fuzzy dice on the mirror and call it a day.

Everyone IS entitled to their own opinion, like in this case, if it's giving up function over form as say ratdoc sees it. I see it different. Mine is low enough that I've scraped speedbumps, curbs, parking blocks, etc. To me, the RAISE function might actually be useful in these types of situations.

Plus, the other question is, changing to air suspension, what does it actually change on the feel. Air has been used as "cushioning" for ages. What would be the real difference between air like these and pneumatic or hydraulic shocks with coil springs when it comes to feel and handling?

this kit is basically a coilover system with 4 airbags to raise and lower the vehicle when needed. 36 damper settings from stock hard to pillow soft.

i luv it, it looks hoTTT.

Don't worry about guys like Ratdoc (he is entitled to his dry opinion) because for everyone of him we have about 12 guys with style that actually like your car (just look at all the good comments), some may even call him "square".

I think personalization of your vehicle is cool for whichever way you chose to do it, it's yours, your money and you'll be the one driving it. Who cares if it is for function, I like a little bit of all (function, speed and style) but there will always be those who leave it like it is.

Keep modding bro, we'll wait for the pics.

sick

that would be great for us in NYC so many uneven roads but like mentioned its what you want to do to you're ride not what others want ppl will say some mods are good others are not but its about trial and error no one is perfect..

If all of our rides looked and were modded same way, there would not be much interesting things on the org. So, it is a good thing people try to be unique in their own ways. The least we can do is appreciate their ingenuity and let them know. After that, should we go on to make those our personal comments.

Nice mod man. I don't have any experience with airbags. Are they anything like the air ride suspension systems they used to put in Lincolns and Caddys? Also, how do they hold up over the long term?

Great post. Not my sort of thing, buy I like to look at others. Nevermind those that criticize, it's hard for some to understand that on a message board there will be a lot of different opinions and tastes.

Could be a dumb question. Why can't I see the 09 Max with air ride? Am I missing something?

Here are a few pics of my car with my new 18's and tires before my Eibach drop, the Eibachs were installed today but unfortunately it is raining too hard to take good pics but I will post some with the Eibachs after it clears up.

I hope these aren't too big and the quality was a little off because of the lighting and I didn't make any adjustments nor wipe off the camera lens, they will be better next time though.
