I like the work done with the strip around the headlight assembly! Very classy! I don't really care for that stuff with the strip put down next to the fog lights! It just doesn't look right. That is the same BS mercedes is doing right now in their attempt to copy Audi with the white LEDs with that small white LED strip on each side of low portion of the front-end almost as a replacement for foglights! I've read a couple of reviews commenting how it looks odd and out of place, almost as if Mercedes put them on as a after thought! Now Audi on the other hand, man I could look at those all day. Really makes the car stand out!

I've always said, Nissan and Infiniti are really missing something by not adding some sort of unique white LED DRLs to their vehicle line-ups, something similar to Audi, but maybe in a different pattern or location on the front-end that different from what Audi specifically is doing. None of the other Japanese competition has done anything with LED DRLs yet so they could be the first to do so.

I think it would really complement the vehicles, especially the Infiniti line-up and Maxima, considering they come standard with RED DRL tail-lights to begin with, why not do a white LED thing in the front to complement that? Could be cool!

Agreed I do have the "cheezy LED by my fogs" , but the Audi LED's can not be matched!! I don't care what you try to put there. The LED strips don't even come close.

Standard with red DRL tail lights?? Am I missing somthing?? White LEDs as DRL would be nice though. Nissan seems to have a thing against DRL headlights on the Max and only put them in on the ones sold in locations they were required to have them instead of making them standard on all units sold. I'm not a fan of your average DRL because of the Dim yellowish color (except of the Audi ofcourse).

And for the record I didn't start this thread, I only posted my pics in it because I didn't want to start another similar thread. I would have left the word Audi out of the title and just titled it "Headlight LEDs" because nothing has been able to compair to those famous, super white, and beautiful Audi LEDs. I wouldn't compair my looks to Brad Pitt and I wouldn't compair my LEDs to Audis because on both counts chances are you are going to come up short.

yeah, sorry flip I was going crazy with the DRL abbreviations I add that to the rear taillights! I should have said red LED tailights as standard, which the Murano, Maxima, and the entire Infiniti line-up all have! good catch though!

I guess Nissan/Infiniti doesn't mind not having DRLs! I had this conversation with someone on edmunds a few weeks ago, but if you think about it. Nissan/Infiniti and Ford are the only major companies in the US that do not have DRLs standard on their vehicles. Honda/Acura, Toyota/Lexus, Subaru, GM, Chrysler, Suski, BMW, MB, VW/Audi, and even Hyundai/Kia have begun adding DRLs to their vehicles! Go figure! That is why I said, Nissan is really missing something by not doing something cool with white LED DRLs on their vehicles!

I don't think even the Nissan vehicles in Canada come with DRLs, where DRLs are required by law because I've heard a couple of Canadian buyers over the years ask how and where they could go to get DRLs put on their Nissan vehicles, and usually they have to have some electrical work done that the fog lights act as the DRLs during the day!

I think it would just be easier for Nissan/Infiniti, and Ford for that matter, who sell in multiple different countries, some having DRL laws, to just put DRLs standard on all their vehicles, like everyone else, so it makes it easier for people who buy their products in countries where vehicles must be equipped with DRLs!

I think Infiniti is really missing something here as well because their body styles are very sporty/aggressive looking, and I think doing a white LED DRL thing would really make them stand out like it has done wonders for Audi! Who knows though, I'm just some stupid consumer who doesn't know anything!

Audi uses Hella to manufacture their LED's, even though you cannot see it, the pics i have up of my Universal Kit from Hella, look Exactly like Audi. One difference they're not inside the headlight. The Kit has reflectors in it that makes them like flash lights and they are super bright during the day. The color is spot on and the maxima, in person, looks like it came from factory with them. I love the kit and i havn't seen anyone with them in my area. Plus the kit also has 2 settings one for day and one for night so they dim down when headlights are on.

They do look very nice like they do belong. I thought they did look like the Audi lights before you mentioned they were manufactured by the same people. Very nice work.

Man Flip, I didn't realize that was your Maxima with the LED strip around the bottom part of each head light assembly! Excellent work man!! Really looks snazzy, like the Maxima doesn't stand out enough with out them, now with these, every single person will be looking your direction!!

I do like that, but still not Audi quality. No offense and not trying to start a LED battle. They do sale 20" strips at auto part stores. I do like the fact that you LED's are spaced more "apart" then the auto store sales...good job!!!

it's too late. The fields have been drawn and now you must die!haha

I don't care man. I'm just waiting till it catches on and I start seeing it on honda civics and old Acura integras and I will turn them off for good. That's why I was a little heart broken to hear that the sold them at the auto store because it means it's not far away I guess I can enjoy being one of the few the short time it will last.

Thanks smarty. The first night I put them on It was just at dusk amd I was at a red light next to an expedition and noticed that everyone in the suv was staring at the LEDs. They inched foward so the people in the back could see and the passenger on the drivers side was crawling over the other person to get a look. It felt good but like i said earlier, it won't last and soon you will see them on hondas and integras and I will shut mine off or replace them with amber colored ones and just hook them up to the blinker. Thanks for the complement thought.

They actually ran about 2" short. I didn't mind though because I thought it actually looked pretty good. They would have fit perfectly on just the bottom flat part but I really liked adding the up curve accent to them. I think the up curve makes a world of difference and shows of the shape of the headlight better at night when it would otherwise be un-visible

Do the LEDs bend that much? They are in a gel strip and I could wrap them around my finger if I wanted. Very flexible. I wish I could take a decent night picture because the night photos don't do any justice to how bright and clear they look with the eye.

Why the hell do you have to get on Flip's back about it? It doesn't affect you and your Maxima so whats the problem ? It's not like Flip is putting a gun to your head and saying you have to go out and buy one for your car. Its a free country! He is entitled to do what he wants to his car and just sharing it with the rest of us.

Wish I knew someone in Va that could help me with the LED s, good upgrade.

Like mine under the headlights.
The question is where to buy the best quality and nicest looking ones, I want it to look like it came from factory, better than Audi's.
Other Q is how wide should it be, I do not think I would want anymore than 4-5 LEDs would be good.

Google Image Audi R8 to get a general idea.

I thought the same thing, I want it to look from the factory.

They look nice on that Max but too many bulbs and too close together for me.

I for one think the LEDs would look nicer is they are very close together and abundant; almost as if they are one single slick light up line.
