Power Slot Rotors & Hawk Pads?

Hey guys after my track runs at Maxus and having my car for over a year now with 25K miles on it I am thinking that it is time to upgrade the brakes on this car somewhat; nothing to crazy but better than stock.

I am looking at the Power Slot Power Alloy Cryo-Treated Torors found on TireRack.com or just the regular ones found HERE. What do you guys think?

Also I am looking at the Hawk pads but not sure which to get... These are my options:

HPS Street Brake Pads
or
Hawk Performance Ceramic Pads (Premium)

I am open to suggestions as to the best pads and rotors to get to be better than stock but want to keep the price down. Thanx in advance!

I would go with EBC Redstuff pads.

http://www.ebcbrakes.com/automotive/...ake_pads.shtml

I've had Hawk pads before and they were way too noisy.

The ceramic would be better if you are at the track alot. If not a whole lot I would go with the HPS. We have both sets in stock and cheaper than Tire Rack. They are at http://www.importcarpartsplus.com/maximabrakes.htm#pads With our free shipping the Power Slot are cheaper then Tire Rack also. They are on that same page at http://www.importcarpartsplus.com/ma...kes.htm#rotors I don't have the cryo treated listed on the site but we can order them for you and they would be less than Tire Rack also.

EBC Redstuff Part Numbers:

Front - DP31954C
Rear - DP31955C

Those are from the EBC website. Autobarn.net has the fronts for $90.95 and the rears for $87.95. Beware of ANNINO's link above, they have the wrong part numbers listed. In fact, they claim the fronts are the same as the rears in his link.

Update: http://www.performanceparts4less.com/ebc-brakes.html has the fronts for $79.99 and the rears for $76.99.

Awsome thanks for all of the help guys it is very much apprecaited. Found out some good information here and when I am ready to buy (soon!) EBC RedStuff Pads and the PowerSlot Rotors from http://www.importcarpartsplus.com cause they seem to have really good deals.

@ImportCarPartsP - Do you have the rear PowerSlot rotors as well; also you are able to get the EBC RedStuff Brake Pads for the front and rear at the price mentioned above correct?

Thank You!

Power Slot doesn't have the rear listed for the 2009 yet. And I don't have the ones in stock that tire rack list for the rear. We can order them but #126.42088SR and #126.42088SL would be $177 shipped.

What about the cryo-treated rotors..by power slot i would be interested in those, and was wondering if i order the whole set, front and rear rotors, front and rear pads what would the cost be and can the handling be taken out?

That is not bad at all considering TireRack.com would be $131 each which is $262 and your only charging $177 both. Now I agree with the question above. If I was to order the Cryo-treated PowerSlot Rotors & I would want the front and the rear along with the brake pads from the company you recommend above; how much would the total price be?

Here are some pics of the Power Slot Rotors - http://www.powerslot.com/power_slot.php They don't have any pictures of the cryo treated rotors.

Obviously I don't have a 7th Gen. but, I went with the powerslot and Hawk HPS up front. I am really happy with them. At first I didnt feel any difference but then on the ride home from installing them I realized I was stopping like 10 ft before the stop sign applying the same pressure I was with the stock set-up....my guess is that 95% of the difference is the pads. I am gonna do the rear as soon as the wear but apparently 5.5 Gens. dont use the rears too much. lol.

Oh btw, get ready to clean your wheels more, the HPS are dustier than OEM but thats a small trade-off IMO.

man i remember with my 2005 altima i had the green-stuff and man did they bite with insane force. So after doing some reading apparently their Nominal friction coefficient is 0.55, that's why i want to get the red stuff as it's very close with .50 rating, and they're ceramic. The hawks i think were at .38 to .4 something, regardless both higher than stock.
