I've read something about the ability in Ford's Fiesta to play audio through a bluetooth connected phone. Basically a synced phone will transfer the music to the stereo without any physical connection. Just wondering if anybody knew if this is possible in our 7th Gen Maximas?

I can affirm my 2010 SV with Tech has advanced audio distribution profile (A2DP) Bluetooth streaming. You can even control your phone's play list through the car and display all the song's information (album art, etc) hands free.

I have a 2010 SV+tech+nav. I did in fact get my 3G iPhone to play audio through the bluetooth audio (I have the NAV interface), but I didn't like the quality. I was especially interested in getting pandora radio to work that way, but it skipped constantly. I ended up buying a special cable that has the iPhone 30pin plug on one end, and on the other it has a USB as well as a pair of RCA male jacks. You can play any iPod music or podcasts through the USB plug (as well as charge the iPhone). You can play any "app" sound, like Pandora Radio, through the RCA plugs (have to unplug the USB, however). Sound quality is very good! I posted the link elsewhere on where to buy this cable (you can even specify how long you want it, I went with 2.5 feet). If anybody is interested I'll post it again in this thread.

The sound quality is really good for my Bluetooth. Just as good as the cable. If you were experiencing skipping with the Bluetooth, take your car in to get the update. I bet I will solve your problems.

Anyone have any luck getting an iPhone4 to connect? I can't seem to make it work. My 3g worked great.

Good question. It might be some hardware involved but Im not sure on that. It would be nice if it was as easy as an update but i doubt it. Id say call your dealership but then again I wouldnt trust them.

I never trust what my dealer says. I'm always telling them about issues and they never have any idea about it till they look it up after I tell them where to look.

Flip, which update? The NAV update referenced on another thread? I already confirmed that my car has the new version (got my car in June, evidently later production has the new version). Or do you mean on the phone? I did that in June as was suggested in this forum or another. But it didn't make any difference. Or has there been yet another 3G update?
