I actually haven't seen a single person with aftermarket LED's in my area (Montgomery County, MD - fairly upper class so people got money). The only ones I see around here with it are the AUDI's and Benz's that are now doing it. Bet your @ss if they're about to fall off or start burning out I'll take them off. That's just wack lol.

For me it was torn between doing something like this with the LED strips or look at Angel/Demon eyes. Angel eyes probably won't even show up cause my lights are so damn bright, and Demon eyes would get me pulled over right quick...

Danielevan83 looking good. I had thought that I should have done the chrome under the led but I wasn't sure how well either would stay stuck so I didn't want to build one on top of another.

I have to say that for the next few weeks after I installed I did keep going back and pressing the strip back down just to make sure it stayed stuck. Even after all the snow and rain they still are holding so I think I'm good.

Kmoney, I too am thinking on what subtle direction I can go next. Stay tuned, something will click for me as the next thing to do

well the expensive angel eyes like the 7k CCFL is very bright which is what i have. as for the demon eyes, u could add a switch to turn them on/off.
i just started working on my final mod for the max. you guys will be blown away when ya see it... hahaha...
hint: i am taking off the LED strip by the fog light to put something way better than LED strip. my current demon eyes is blue but am changing it to million color so i can change it to any color i want..the rest mod ya just have to wait

Here's a pic of them during the day. I like that they are kinda hidden in there and the chrome stands out more when the lights are off. I'm still just figuring out what kind of aftermarket lighting parts there are available now, it's been a few years since I've looked into this stuff and there's so much that is new. My boy's got thermal imaging in his BMW 650...***** bangin.

Hey Hamzer...I installed the CK type signal bulbs in the front, but the white portion won't light. Is this because I didn't use the load resistors yet or what?

The load resistors just prevent the turn signals from flashing quickly or burning out the LED's. I didn't put my resistors in until a few weeks after I had my LED's because I didn't have the time - worked fine.

Not sure why the white portion won't light, maybe they're in backwards or you have a bad bulb? Is it both of them or just one?

Definitely shouldn't be the load resistors. The only thing I can think is whether you purchased the correct CK bulbs or like mentioned above, you didn't plug them in properly.

So the way you have it now, you don't get a parking light but they come on when you signal? Or are amber bulbs coming on with the parking lights?

They only come on when I signal. The rep from V-LEDs told me today that the resistors will correct the problem along with the quick flashing, but I don't wanna keep ordering for trial and error...the bulbs I have are the 6k dual color CK 92 LEDs from their site and they only light one way so I know they're not in backwards.

Not sure what's wrong there but mine definitely worked without the load resistors...all the load resistors do is trick your car into working like a normal bulb is in the turn signal location...if the parking lights aren't working thats a completely different part of the bulb

Maybe it is the wrong bulbs. Which ones exactly do you have? and from where?

I don't know man, I'm puzzled. The only other thing I can think of is that V-Leds changed the bulbs since you guys ordered them because I remember Hamzer sayin that he had the 72 led ones and I don't even see those; I got the 92 led ones.

I found my receipt. These are the ones I got:
http://www.v-leds.com/Exterior-LED/T...72048-1-2.html

I know it's a hassle but I would definitely open it up again and flip the bulb. Also check to see if the pins that make contact with the socket are straight. They are easy to bend by forcing the bulb in the wrong way. Maybe there is no contact. Make sure they sent you the CK also. Their site shows the difference and how the CK base should look. Could be a mix-up. Let us know what happens.

At first, for the rear lights, I got some cheap LED's off of Ebay and definitely regretted it. The Red LEDs I got for the turn signals you could only see at night, during the day they didnt shine into the reflector so you couldn't tell I was turning. And the White LEDs I got for reverse lights didn't put out any light at all beyond lighting up the tail light.

I went ahead and upgraded to these for the Red LEDs - http://www.v-leds.com/Exterior-LED/B...48888-1-2.html

And these for the reverse LEDs - http://www.v-leds.com/Exterior-LED/P...26829-1-2.html

Definitely pricey, but HOLY **** they are bright. I can DEFINITELY see the Red LEDs during the day, and the White LEDs are like freaking floodlamps when I'm backing up. Very impressed with the quality of V-LEDs stuff. You definitely get what you're paying for with LEDs.

Doing that is good n bad. The bad part is if you take ur car to the dealer for service Or something to your car, they will blame it on running extra wire yo that fuse

I agree. When it comes to stuff for my car, no cheap parts from eBay. Its always good to buy top quality

if you get a dry filter like the Takeda it shouldn't void any warranty. the warranty gets void with aftermarket intakes when oil from the filter gets on sensors or something like that.

I wanted to update that after just a few months of use one of my LED strips only has two LED's still lighting. Looks real ugly. I will be contacting VLED but at this time I can not recommend the VLED strips the way I did initially. I will update once I get some feedback from VLED.

I want to go a different direction anyway so it's not a big deal for me but it looks real cheap and ugly with just two bulbs working.

Damn, sorry to hear that man. I've had mine for a few months now and they're still working great. The one bonus is they're cheap enough and easy enough to install that this won't hurt too much. I wish they had shorter switchback LED strips cause I'd like to have mine blink amber for turn signals, only one they got is way too long though.

I thought these could be cut to size.... but I could be wrong. I gotta look but I'm trying to decide on which direction to go with it.

The normal single-color strips can be cut every few inches or so; the switchback white/amber ones can't do.

I am not sure about dimensions, but would something like this work in place of the LED strips?

If it's within the dimensions of the area we are using for the strips then yes it could. You would have to create a cutout for it because the area has a bulge where we have mounted the led strips. or you could try to go right below or above the bulge (no not the one in anyone's pants ).

hey hamzer11..

where did you tap in to get the power to power the LED strips? Did you just tap into the wires on the running/parking lights? which color is + and -.. I am guessing it is lighter color = + and darker color = -

Thanks for the help!

Hey. Take a look at the write-up on post 21 and see if it helps. I have pictures of which wires I used. I used an Ohm meter to check the positive and negative at the time but I really can't remember the colors. I'm at work so I can't even see my own pictures to make it any clearer. Let me know if you can't figure it out from that post.

Yeah that's right, if you follow Hamzer's guide he splices into the parking lights. I like it so far but have been thinking about adding a wireless relay so I can turn them on independantly. KMoney turned me onto the wireless relay to save all the hassle of pushing wires through the firewall and cutting up your dash for buttons.

You can grab something like this for ~$25 - http://www.amazon.com/Pilot-Performa.../dp/B000BRJF62

Just need to wire it into a 12v power supply (direct from battery probably best idea) and then you can branch off everything else from it. With it mounted in the engine bay near the front middle of the car it would be a good spot to wire LED strips, angel eye halo's, demon eyes, whatever else from. And yeah you got a little cheesy remote to use which I'm sure isn't as classy as some well-installed switches inside the car, but it takes a hell of a lot of the work out of it and gives you remote access to the lights instead.

This ones nice because I think you can set each channel to but an on/off switch or to work only when you press the button itself (nice for a crazy horn or something similar).

I hadn't thought of this. This is a great idea. One questions though, do you know if it remembers the last setting. So if I shut off the car with the lights on and then turn it back on would they still be on? Also, you probably want to use an ACC + wire and not just a always on positive wire. Otherwise you risk leaving something on and killing the battery.

I have something similar to That. That's Wat I use to control all my lights. It doesn't have last setting memory for the one I have. Mine has 4 buttons with on/off for each. Mine is connected to my battery so they can b turned on without starting my car

Instead of resistors has anyone used a Flasher replacement on the 7th Gen.
http://autolumination.com/equalizers.htm

They have one listed for Nissan. Does anyone know where the flasher is located?

I installed 3ohm resistors in my rear turn signals b/c I was going to get front led turns. However after installing the front leds I still have hyper flashing. Any help??

Load Resistors

To change front and rear signals do you need to install four 3 ohm resistors, one at each light? Or just two, one at each front light? Also, has anyone tried the flasher relay upgrade?
